Tanya has been living and working in Malawi for seven years and it is her home. She first came to Malawi in 2006 after setting up her own project to build a full primary school in the Northern region and has since done many other projects with her UK charity Expand (www.xpand.org.uk). Her primary existing business is Kawandama Hills Plantation a 6,000 ha essential oil plantation in the beautiful Viphya Forest Reserve. It produces oil for export creating much needed foreign revenue for Malawi. Being intimately involved with the private sector and Malawians on the ground, she feels that industrial hemp can contribute significantly to Malawi and can make a difference. She established Invegrow with her partners and is strongly committed to the sensitization campaign at political and local level.
